Adapted Service Delivery at HMP Wandsworth
Trailblazers are delighted to announce that an ‘Adapted Mentoring Service’ will be resuming in Wandsworth prison from early July. An information leaflet has been developed with information about the service which will involve mentors offering support to the men via telephone on release, as well as providing them with practical support, such as a food voucher and a basic mobile phone. Prison staff will assist with the distribution of the leaflet to young men (18-30years) who have between 2 and 4 weeks remaining of their sentence. Wandsworth Project Manager, Martha Morey will have a weekly presence in the prison from July and will follow up and assess men who express interest in having mentoring support when they are released.
It is anticipated that similar adapted mentoring services will be rolled out in all prisons Trailblazers operates in during July.
